The ICD is being expanded over an area of 95 acres to cater to the demands of double stack movement and growth in originating and terminating business. A couple of additional CFSs are being planned in this area.
 
There are some very cogent reasons for the trade in the above mentioned catchment area to function out of Garhi Harsaru.
